These are either the Geisha or Maiko ladies that I was fortunate enough to capture them on these images. I heard someone said that if one was lucky to see just one, that would be worth the trip…I don’t know how true that is, but in my case, I did see 6 Geisha’s in one place. All were going to a little exclusive, small bar tuck in a corner at one area in an alley in the Gion district. Make no mistake that these were genuine Geisha’s and not some who were dressed up for photo shoots.
